CADA has launched IT Games, a set of short browser games for the Introduction to Information Technology course.
Each game targets one mistake students often make. Play for 5–10 minutes before doing your exercises and the lesson will stick much better.
What’s inside
The first topic, Data, Information & Their Representation (week 2), has 21 playable games in three groups:
- Number systems: Bit Flip, Hex Color Mixer, Remainder Tower, Bit Tetris and more, covering binary, octal, hexadecimal and fractions.
- Data storage: Number Wheel, Negate Machine, Float Builder, ASCII Spy, Sample the Wave, covering two’s complement, floating point, text, sound and images.
- Operations on data: Mask Master, XOR Secret Messenger, Find the Flipped Bit, Overflow Detective, covering bitwise logic, shifts, parity and overflow.
